Amazon warehouse workers suffer serious injuries at higher rates than other firms

The Strategic Organizing Center, a coalition of labor unions that includes the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the Service Employees International Union, released a report  that arrived at similar conclusions to The Post’s analysis. The SOC initially obtained Amazon’s injury data from OSHA and provided its analysis exclusively to The Post, before The Post conducted its own independent analysis. The SOC also investigated injury rates among Amazon’s delivery service partners and surveyed Amazon workers about the safety of their workplaces.

“It’s a stunning degree of incompetence,” Eric Frumin, the SOC’s health and safety director, said of Amazon’s injury rate.
